Richard was admitted to practice in 1976 and became Partner of the Firm in 1983. He completed his Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Jurisprudence, at Monash University on 9 April 1975. Since being admitted in 1976 Richard has had experience in a diverse range of litigation.
Commercial Litigation
Having acted for a major financial institution for 17 years and a wide variety of small medium sized companies Richard has gained extensive experience in commercial litigation in the County and Supreme Courts. The nature of this litigation has been diverse ranging from litigation enforcing rights under mortgages and guarantees, applications for Anton Pillar Orders, contractual disputes and professional negligence claims. He is a member of the Litigation Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria. He is committed to the early resolution of commercial disputes.
Wills & Estates
Henty Stamfords has an extensive practice in the area of Wills & Estates. Should litigation be necessary, Richard is committed to facilitating mediation as soon as is reasonably possible, to avoid the necessity of proceeding to court. He has substantial experience in this area of the law and brings a mature approach derived from 25 years of practice in litigation in both Supreme and County Courts.
Mortgage Services
He has 16 years experience in mortgage security documentation and mortgage recovery work.
